ron,
saw you at Caledon Nat. Park Wine and Arts Festival, 11/07/09. Really beautiful; soulful, spiritual. Thank you for the opportunity to hear your wonderful talent-- and the lady who sang such a beautiful voice. I have "undocumented" heritage to Native American (Cherokee tribe, eastern Kentucky). I bet you hear that a lot.
I am a wood sculptor/woodworker. Carved knot bowls, antler, etc.

I recently had the pleasure meeting and hearing Mr. Warren play. I was proud and honored at his overwhelming talent at playing the flutes and of his humble character. I have purchased his music and have enjoyed it very much. For any person who understands and/or connects with Native Traditional and/or Contemporary flute music will find this man and his work among the best. I wish Mr. Warren and his colleagues all the best and look forward to what is to come in the future.

Wado,

Sincerely,
T. Nelson

Hello, my husband and I met in Cape Coral, Florida at the festival this month. I wanted to thank you so much for taking the time to teach me about the flute. It really meant a lot to me. I plan to contact the gentleman you told me about to have at least one flute made and I have been listening to your music so that I can learn. Thanks

Hola Ron,
Caught your performance at HUD last week and wanted to thank you and your trio for a great performance. I especially appreciated the inclusion of my Taino sister, Janice Torres, in your act. As you may know, the Tainos are seldom recognized and are otherwise thought of as the loss tribe of the Caribbean. I encourage and hope that Janice will continue to have the opportunity to express our heritage through her wonderful vocals.

Hello Mr. Warren,

I am contacting you on behalf of the Human Relations Committee of the National Institute on Aging, a branch of the National Institutes of Health, in Baltimore. As you may be aware, the federal government issues proclamations that specific times of the year are to be used to observe a specific group or community in our nation. November has been designated as Native American Heritage month and it is my responsibility to coordinate a program of approximately 45-60 minutes that discusses a topic of interest to Native Americans.

I would like to have a program that consisted of several parts 1) a speaker to discuss the current status of the Native American (i.e. incorporation into national culture while maintaining individual ideals), political concerns and progress, and endeavors for the future; 2) a performance (i.e. dancers, poet, storyteller) specific to Native American culture and 3) a traditional Native American food. I was given your contact information from Keith Colston, Executive Director of the Maryland Commission on Indian Affairs. If you are available, I would like to discuss with you the opportunity to come here and share some of you music with us. At your earliest convenience, please let me know what is a good time for you to discuss logistics and specific needs.

I would like to have the event the week of November 17-23 but if necessary, we can open it up to different days. I appreciate any help that you could provide as I think that this may be a unique program. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Sincerely,

Jaron Lockett, Ph.D.

Hello Ron,
I relocated from Alaska to MD for a year with my husband. Look forward to hearing you play again! I heard y9ou at the NEA Leadership lunch here a few years ago. Looking forward to hearing you and Janice. I just read she makes jewelry on here? That would be neat to see also. I made a flute in AK last year with the Native ed grant I work with. MOrgan FAwcett, a teen with FAS was partnering with us to give Native students and opportunity to play and make flutes. He will be over here at some point. YOu would like to meet him.

Hi Ron and Janice,
We were disappointed not to get a call-back 2 months ago about our Native American Sunday at Mt. Carmel UMC. From the looks of your schedule it appears you are very busy and quite successful. We are delighted about that and send good energy your way. Love, Gloria and Bill

Ron, your music continues to bless my son and me as we make our way in the world. T is 16 now, and he will be taking college courses in his Senior year. One of those might be involving recording studio work. T is immersed in music...and his influences from the early to mid-2000 era is a major reason for that. And who did he listen to for quite a while - every single night? You. We cannot wait to see you "Live" again!

Mary Ann Yvonne shared your most beautiful letter about the Papal Mass. Thank you for playing the flutes - and YES, I can still hear the beautiful, soulful sound of the Veni Creator Spiritus. I think I felt the Great Spirit at that moment and was very moved. We were all given an incredible gift that day. Thank you for your wonderful contributon!

I thought you were brilliant on the flute. It gave the mass a genuine feeling. I felt no conflict religiously only gratitude and appreciation for native Americans and their beautiful way of life. Thank you for sharing your gift!

Ron, WOW there's nothing like hearing you play live. Although I missed your band on Friday at NAIM in December, the two hour trip to hear you on Saturday was well worth it. Today I am on your website looking for where/when to bring some friends to hear you.

Ron - It was great to see and spend time with both you and Janice again. As always, an amazing performance at the powwow in Vienna, MD! Many people commented on the tranquility and depth of your music. Janice shared her story with me about "Amazing Grace" and the telephone call Saturday durring her performance. Another example of where music can take the mind and the importance of music in our lives. Can't wait to see you next month in Bristow!

Take care!
