Ron Warren: Calendar

well, this was a wild one. Had the whole band along, which is always nice. But we had to be in and through security by 9AM for a 2PM set because W. decided to show up.

Weather was pretty raw in the morning, too. But the stage was nice, the sound was good and played a pretty good set from where I was.

A big highlight was getting to have some good BBQ for breakfast along with a piece of fry bread. yum!

This gig was a real treat for me. Assateague Wildlife Refuge on the Eastern Shore of Maryland has always been a very place of mine. Playing flutes there was great.

We were set up in the Bateman Visitors' Center for the day, so we had a chance to chat with a lot of folks.

Our friend, Charles Running Eagle, was doing some educational programs on the deck. We always enjoy seeing Charles.

As soon as the gig was over, we loaded up and headed for Jamestown for the next day's set. Crossed the Chespeake Bridge-Tunnel on the way. It's a truly amazing thing to be on a bridge and be completely out of sight of any land. And then see the bridge disappear under the water! Whee!!

It was a pretty successful performance, despite the snowy weather. Thank you to all of you who came out to hear us. And a special thank you to Ladder 201 of Old Town Alexandria for helping us escape our stuck elevator. Never a dull moment...

We had a FANTASTIC time!!! We were so pleased to see so many people enjoying our music & all the kids dancing around. Thanks to our friends & families that came out to support us.
